What will you be doing as a SPOT WELDER:
- Determine number of welding points and contact cycles.
- Regulate current and set automatic timing devices if used.
- Rig equipment for hold and positioning work.
- Change and dress electrodes.
- May work from drawings, specification, samples, and templates.
- Use rule, square and fixed gauges.
- Instructions given on procedures and work is subject to process and final inspection.
- Other duties as assigned
What it takes to be a SPOT WELDER with MEC:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to do basic math
- Be able to lift and move 50 pounds
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Displays ethical behavior and acts with integrity
- Reliability
- Ability to train, communicate, and work with others.
