Our Client is a family owned, highly respected Sheet Metal Fabrication Company in the Seymour area. We are seeking a Machine Operator/Spot Welder to join our team!
WORK HOURS: 7:00 to 3:30 Monday to Friday Pay Rate: $18.50
Job Summary: Works on various jobs to join, connect and/or overlap metal parts at small points by application of pressure, heat and electric current. Essential functions:
Spot weld metal parts together using a resistance spot weld machine
Inspect each piece for defects using a straightedge, template or other measuring tool(s) to ensure part conforms with specifications
Coordinate with department supervisor to ensure quality of work and that all applicable work orders are being addressed in order as needed
Move product to and from different areas as needed; the use of manual hand trucks and hydraulic assisted hand trucks
Maintain a clean work area and keep up supplies needed to complete daily work, including the removal of electrodes for proper cleaning and dressing

Education and/or Work Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and one year of manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
