    If you’re looking for a trucking career that will keep you local and guarantee daily home time, hop in the driver’s seat as a Dot Foods trailer spotter. Get your daily fix behind the wheel without sacrificing a single night’s sleep in your own bed.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Safely and efficiently move trailers throughout the truck yard
    • Weigh loaded trailers
    • Inspect and perform basic maintenance on spotter tractors
    • Wash trailers as needed
    • Perform lot and/or yard checks
    • Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position

    YOU MUST HAVE

    • High school diploma or General Equivalency Degree.
    • Ability to pass physical abilities test to meet standards of job
    • Sufficient hearing and vision necessary to operate powered equipment safely
    • Safe driving record

    YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

    • A commercial driver’s license (CDL)
    • Professional truck driving experience

    ROLE SPECIFICS

    • You’ll be working indoors and outdoors throughout the year and will be exposed to harsh weather extremes. Shifts are generally 10 hours long for four days a week or 12 hours long for three days a week.
