Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Applying pesticides and fertilizer on all greens, tees, and fairways on the golf courses*
• Assisting in the monitoring and identification of diseases, insects, and weeds on golf course greens, tees, fairways, and rough*
• Keeping application records and inventory of pesticides and fertilizers*
• Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

• Two (2) years experience in golf course maintenance 
• Must possess or be able to obtain PA Pesticide Applicator's License 
• Must possess valid PA Driver’s License 
• This position is considered Safety Sensitive, as defined in the HE&R Drug and Alcohol Policy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Turf Grass Science degree or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and math skills to perform calculations 
• Ability to calibrate application equipment 
• Working knowledge of the maintenance of greens, teas, and fairways 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel a plus 

Job Demands:

• Physical requirements include ability to lift 50 lbs and operate heavy machinery 
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays 
• This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority.
• Candidate must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
