    THE WORK

    We are seeking a talented and experienced AN/SPY-1D(V) Radar Technician and Instructor to support the Aegis International Programs team and conduct schoolhouse and waterfront training.

    • This individual will support a multi-instructor and developer workforce providing instruction and curricula updates for our International Program customers and in support of schoolhouse and shipboard training.
    • Assist in the development of new training materials, revise existing curricula, and support simulation virtual courseware updates and deployment.
    • Deliver formal training for internal and external customers, conduct instructor evaluations, and submit training reports.
    • Most of the work for this position will be in Dahlgren, VA, however, travel opportunities are available to support our international customers in locations such as Japan, Australia, Norway, and South Korea.
    • Motivated individuals may be given the opportunity to be involved in the preparation for and execution of training on the AN/SPY-7 radar system.
    • US Citizenship is required and candidate must have a final DoD Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Graduate of US Navy BL9 AN/SPY-1D(V) Operations and Maintenance course
    • Certified as Navy Instructor with applicable Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) code or previous instructor experience
    • BL9 AN/SPY-1D(V) operational and maintenance experience with at least one shipboard tour and one training/instructional tour
    • Ability to discuss technical and operational concepts related to Aegis Combat System
    • Proven communication skills with the ability to work independently and as a team contributor
    • US Citizenship is required and candidate must have a final DoD Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position.

    Desired Skills:

    • Master Training Specialist Certification
    • Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) operational experience
    • Graduate of US Navy Aegis Weapons System (AWS) Maintenance course
    • UNIX and network maintenance experience, preferably related to military weapon systems

    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
