Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled SQL Engineer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain database solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SQL development, database performance tuning, data modeling, and ETL processes, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.

• Optimize database performance through query tuning and indexing strategies.

• Develop and maintain ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

• Design and implement relational database schemas and data models.

• Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity.

• Collaborate with application developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders.

• Perform database migrations, backups, and recovery activities.

• Create technical documentation for database objects and processes.

• Ensure compliance with data security and governance standards.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.

• Expertise in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers.

• Experience in query optimization and performance tuning.

• Good understanding of relational database design and normalization.

• Experience with ETL tools or SQL-based ETL development.

• Knowledge of indexing, partitioning, and database security.

• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SSIS, Azure SQL, AWS RDS, or cloud databases.

• Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools.

• Familiarity with Python or Shell scripting is an added advantage.

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 3 6 years of hands-on experience in SQL development and database management.
