Sr SQL Enterprise Developer

Our Client, a globally recognized technology-driven organization, is seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Enterprise Developer to design, develop, and optimize large-scale data solutions. This role is critical to supporting enterprise data initiatives, including complex data migrations, transformation pipelines, and advanced analytics that drive strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SQL programming, data architecture, and performance optimization, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly sophisticated environment handling massive datasets. You will play a key role in building scalable data systems that generate actionable insights and power business intelligence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced SQL programs, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and complex queries for high-volume data environments.
• Lead data migration initiatives, including designing ETL/ELT pipelines to move and transform large datasets across systems with accuracy and efficiency.
• Build and optimize data models and schemas to support analytics, reporting, and application performance at scale.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights, enabling data-driven business decisions.
• Develop and maintain reporting solutions and dashboards to visualize key metrics and trending data.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all systems and pipelines.
• Perform query optimization and performance tuning for mission-critical systems handling high transaction volumes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database and data pipeline issues in production environments.
• Establish and enforce best practices, coding standards, and documentation for enterprise database development.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to building a high-performing data engineering culture.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of hands-on SQL development experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience working with large-scale, high-performance database systems.
• Strong expertise in relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Demonstrated experience with data migration, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing solutions.
• Deep understanding of database design, indexing strategies, and normalization/denormalization techniques.
• Experience writing efficient SQL code for analytics, reporting, and data transformation at scale.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work on complex, ambiguous challenges.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in highly scalable, distributed data environments similar to large tech enterprises.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as AWS (Redshift, RDS), Google Cloud (BigQuery), or Azure (Synapse).
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and security best practices.
• Exposure to BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
