We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in SQL Server administration, database performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, security, and production support.

Required Technical Skills

  • 7+ years of hands-on SQL Server DBA experience.
  • Strong experience with SQL Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
  • Expertise in T-SQL, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Always On Availability Groups, clustering, backup, and recovery.
  • Knowledge of Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting, SQL Server Agent, and automation.
  • Strong understanding of database security, migrations, upgrades, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain SQL Server databases.
  • Ensure database availability, reliability, security, and optimal performance.
  • Implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Perform database upgrades, migrations, patching, and capacity planning.
  • Troubleshoot critical database issues and provide production support.
  • Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure, and security teams.
  • Maintain database documentation and compliance standards.

Daily Duties

  • Monitor SQL Server health, database performance, storage, and resource utilization.
  • Review backup jobs, SQL Server Agent jobs, and database alerts.
  • Troubleshoot blocking, deadlocks, slow queries, and connectivity issues.
  • Perform index maintenance, statistics updates, and query tuning.
  • Monitor Always On replication, failover readiness, and database availability.
  • Manage user permissions, security access, and database changes.
  • Execute routine maintenance, patching, and automation tasks.
  • Respond to production incidents and support scheduled deployments.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and database performance improvements.

Mandatory Certification

Active Microsoft DP-300 certification is required. Candidates must provide valid, verifiable certification credentials.
