Title: SQL Server Replication DBA<\/span>
<\/p>
Key Responsibilities:<\/span><\/b>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Administer,
monitor, and optimize SQL Server performance, including CPU, memory, I/O, and
query execution.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Configure and
troubleshoot SQL Server Replication (transactional, snapshot, merge,
peer -to -peer).<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Identify and
resolve issues with replication latency, conflicts, and synchronization errors.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Perform index
analysis and tuning for performance optimization.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Design,
implement, and manage database schema objects including new tables, indexes,
constraints, and stored procedures.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Perform
regular patching and upgrades of SQL Server and Oracle environments.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Analyze and
troubleshoot query performance using execution plans, SQL Profiler, and DMVs.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Implement and
manage cross -platform data replication between SQL Server and Oracle databases.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Develop Python
scripts to automate database maintenance, reporting, or monitoring tasks.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Integrate and
configure Grafana dashboards to monitor key database metrics and replication
health.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Manage
AWS -hosted databases using services like RDS, DMS, EC2, and CloudWatch.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Support Oracle
DB environments including performance tuning, backup/recovery, and patching.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Participate in
disaster recovery planning and testing.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Collaborate
with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams on database requirements and
optimization.<\/span><\/p>
<\/span>Required Skills & Qualifications:<\/span><\/b>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> 5+ years of
experience as a SQL Server DBA (SQL Server 2016 or newer).<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Strong
knowledge of SQL Server Replication and related troubleshooting techniques.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Proficiency in
index management, query optimization, and server performance tuning.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Experience
creating and managing SQL Server schema objects, including new tables and
indexes.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Hands -on
experience in patching SQL Server and Oracle environments.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Solid working
knowledge of Python scripting for automation.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Experience
with Grafana for creating and managing database monitoring dashboards.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Exposure to
Oracle DB administration and SQL/PLSQL.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> AWS
experience: working with RDS, DMS, CloudWatch, S3, etc.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Strong
experience in T -SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting.<\/span>
<\/span>Preferred Qualifications:<\/span><\/b>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> AWS
certification (e.g., AWS Certified Database – Specialty, Solutions Architect
Associate).<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Experience
with Oracle GoldenGate or third -party replication tools.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Familiarity
with DevOps tools and practices, CI/CD pipelines.<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Experience
with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation).<\/span>
<\/span>·<\/span><\/span> Knowledge of
monitoring and alerting tools beyond Grafana (e.g., Prometheus, Nagios)<\/span><\/p>
