Senior Accountant

Department: Accounting & Finance
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to join a growing accounting and finance team supporting a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting, enjoys solving complex financial challenges, and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial reporting and compliance. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close activities, account reconciliations, fixed assets management, tax reporting, audit support, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and manage the fixed asset sub-ledger, including asset additions, disposals, and accumulated depreciation schedules
  • Prepare and reconcile prepaid expense, accrual, debt, and other balance sheet accounts
  • Research and resolve account variances and reconciliation discrepancies
  • Prepare and file sales tax and federal excise tax returns
  • Analyze monthly operating expenses and provide detailed variance analysis
  • Assist with external audits, financial audits, and banking audits
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Maintain supporting schedules and accounting documentation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency
  • Support compliance with company policies, internal controls, and safety standards
  • Mentor or guide junior accounting staff as needed
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Perform additional accounting and finance duties as assigned
