Sr Accountant

ONSITE POSITION - SHIFT - 8AM - 5PM.
I. Position Overview

The Senior Accountant is responsible for working closely with the Finance team to ensure a smooth, timely month-end close process. This individual provides assistance with SOX compliance and is involved in the annual budgeting process.

II. Essential Functions

Performs and assists with month-end and quarter-end closing accounting tasks including preparation/input of journal entries ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
Ensures that reconciliations and supporting schedules and analysis are completed on a timely basis and in accordance with the monthly closing schedule.
Prepares and maintains month-end closing shared folders.
Preparation and assistance with month-end analytical review of actuals versus budget/forecast.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
Provides assistance with SOX compliance by ensuring internal controls are adhered to.
Provides assistance to Sr. Manager Financial Operations and Accounting on quarter-end inventory close and various analyses.
All other duties as assigned.

III. Position Requirements

Education and Experience:

Bachelor s degree in Accounting required.
Minimum of four to six years of experience and solid understanding of GAAP. Experience in public accounting preferred.

Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines and timelines.
Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance daily operations and project work in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient in MS Office Suite, and experience with general ledger systems.

This position requires minimal travel;average travel for this position is 5% with some variation based upon the demands of the business imperatives. Travel is for inventory purposes.
