Sr. Accountant- Corporate Accounting

Job SummaryRole will report to the Senior Manager- Corporate Accounting and be responsible for owning the Corporate segment balance sheet, intercompany accounting, T&E processes, administration of the Blackline account reconciliation tool, and other corporate controllership activities as necessary. The role will also prepare the monthly Corporate Finance segment income statement analysis to present to the Chief Accounting Officer.Responsibilities
Monthly, Quarterly and Year-end close
Prepare monthly journal entries related to:
Debt and interest expenseHealth and welfare benefit accrualsMiscellaneous Accruals
Perform intercompany reconciliations to ensure appropriate intercompany matching
Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliationsPrepare quarterly income tax provision entries with input from the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting
Support preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated US GAAP financial statements and provide inputs to annual footnote disclosures related to:
Commitments & contingenciesDebtLeasesInterest and taxes paidFixed assets
Prepare quarterly lease accounting entries under ASC842 including utilization of the CoStar lease administration toolManage fixed asset accounting and maintenance for Corporate fixed assetsTaxes
Prepare tax-related journal entries and account reconciliationsAssist with the coordination of various income tax related auditsEnsure timely payment of tax assessments and quarterly estimated taxesAssist Chief Accounting Officer with income tax-related initiativesAssist with income-tax related requests for annual tax compliance and the year-end audit
Systems & Process Improvement
Utilize SAP and other financial systems to prepare reports and perform analysesParticipate in finance process improvement and automation initiativesQuarterly reconciliation of SAP trial balance to the TM1 consolidation systemIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
Other
Primary point of contact with external auditors and assistance with overall annual audit coordinationEnsure timely filings of Ad hoc census filings; ensure timing submission by the business units.

Experience
3-5 years of public accounting or commensurate industry experienceCPA a plusSAP and Blackline experience a plus and preferredStrong Excel skills and other Microsoft Office Suite toolsExperience in driving the month-end and year-end close process including coordination with external auditors
CompensationThe listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis's total compensation package. Compensation also includes a competitive benefits package and may also include bonuses, and other on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is estimated to be $90,000 - $115,000.
