Exciting Opportunity with a Growing Manufacturing Company
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this position will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Lead key components of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process.
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure proper classification of financial transactions.
Review balance sheet accounts and resolve outstanding reconciling items.
Prepare intercompany transactions and support consolidation activities.
Assist with financial reporting for management, banking partners, auditors, tax advisors, and ownership groups.
Accounting Operations & Compliance
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Support annual audits and financial reviews by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to requests.
Assist with sales and use tax filings, corporate registrations, and other compliance activities.
Participate in annual R&D tax credit studies, insurance renewals, and bank reporting requirements.
Maintain fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and capital project tracking.
Manage prepaid expenses, accruals, reserves, and other complex balance sheet accounts.
Manufacturing Accounting & Business Partnership
Support inventory accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and related financial analysis.
Partner with the Cost Accountant to assist with overhead rate development, cost analysis, inventory reporting, and variance analysis.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting activities.
Collaborate with operations, purchasing, inventory control, and engineering teams to improve financial accuracy and reporting quality.
Contribute to improvements in manufacturing accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls.
Process Improvement & Systems
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and streamline the financial close process.
Assist with ERP enhancements, reporting improvements, and automation initiatives.
Help document accounting policies, procedures, and control processes.
Recommend and implement improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and financial transparency.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
Proven experience with month-end close, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, fixed assets, and audit support.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across departments.
