Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Managing and overseeing all facets of the accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.
2. Conducting detailed financial analysis to provide insight into the company's financial status and to aid in decision-making processes.
3. Preparing accurate financial statements in accordance with the established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
4. Conducting regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy.
5. Utilizing your expertise in cost accounting to analyze and interpret complex financial information and provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.
6. Preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
7. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
8. Identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
9. Providing guidance and support to the accounting team, fostering an environment of learning and growth.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in financial analysis, accounting, cost accounting, financial statements, tax preparation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong Excel skills.
6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to explain complex financial information in clear terms to non-financial stakeholders.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
