Butler County Regional Authority is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to support the financial operations of a growing public transit organization serving Butler County and surrounding communities. This hands-on role is responsible for managing and overseeing key accounting functions while supporting compliance with federal, state, and local funding and reporting requirements.

Under the direction of the Director of Finance & Administration, the Senior Accountant processes or supervises all financial, accounting, data tracking, and reporting functions of the organization. Responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, payroll processing, financial reporting, budgeting support, grant administration, and audit preparation.
This role also supports compliance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) accounting requirements and assists with federal, state, and local grant management and reporting.

About Butler County RTA:
BCRTA is a political subdivision of the State of Ohio organized as a Regional Transit Authority under Ohio code. BCRTA acts as the designated recipient for Federal Transit Funds and provides public transportation services within and around Butler County, Ohio including Hamilton, Middletown, Fairfield, West Chester, Oxford, and Miami University. The BCRTA employs or directs around 120 transit employees and manages an annual budget near $15M. BCRTA is governed by a nine-member Board of Trustees.
