The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
Comprehensive understanding of financial statements including the ability to complete month-end close, produce financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and make distribution/equity journal entries
The ability to make journal entries (accruals, reclasses, revenue, payroll), intercompany reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, bank reconciliations in Quickbooks
The ability to update cash flow forecasts on a weekly basis with a solid understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables
The ability to complete bi-weekly payroll and provide HR onboarding and offboarding
Experience with managing risk mitigation (insurance coverage, bank liaison, covenants, etc.)
Understands job costing and can review budget to actual reports
Ability to work with operational staff to get information needed for financials and reporting as needed
Monitor all licenses, track and renew per due dates to assure compliance
Correspond with managed 401k company as required
Completion of sales tax computation, filing sales tax returns monthly, and coordinating with CPA for tax backup annually
Experience completing insurance audits with accurate backup to defend figures
Position Requirements:
BS in Accounting or Finance
5-7 Years Experience as a Financial Controller
Construction experience a huge plus
