Job Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the Bank’s accounting operations, regulatory reporting, and internal control processes. This position ensures the integrity of the general ledger, assists with monthly and quarterly financial closes, supports tax and audit activities, and prepares financial reporting used by Executive Management

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, banking‑related accounting concepts, and financial statement presentation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, indexing).
  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide meaningful explanations.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑driven with strong ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience, preferably in a bank or financial institution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or 5 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • CPA license or active CPA candidate preferred.
