Description

Position Overview
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations for a multi-entity organization with both retail and wholesale operations. This position manages the integrity of the general ledger, supports accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, oversees inventory accounting, performs account reconciliations, and drives the monthly financial close process. The role also provides leadership to a small accounting team while partnering closely with finance leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.

This is an opportunity to join a long-established, family-owned organization during an exciting period of growth and contribute directly to initiatives that will support the company's long-term success.
Reporting to the Controller and CFO, the Senior Accountant serves as a trusted resource for accounting operations, helping ensure consistency across multiple entities while reviewing staff work, maintaining compliance with company policies, and delivering timely, accurate financial information. The ideal candidate is technically strong, enjoys improving processes, and has experience in multi-location or multi-entity environments.

  • Monitor aging reports and assist with collection strategies for overdue customer balances.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to full-cycle accounting and AP/AR operations.
  • Prior experience supervising or mentoring accounting personnel.
  • Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-location organizations is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is a plus.
