    Job Title:

    Staff Accountant

    Location: Newtown Square, PA

    Workplace: Onsite

    We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join a corporate accounting team supporting a real estate/property management business. This role is responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, and supporting forecasting and analytics efforts. The position works closely with property management teams and reports to an Accounting Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform accounting, bookkeeping, and maintenance of property management operations
    • Prepare bank reconciliations and monthly journal entries, including accruals
    • Complete variance analysis reports and ensure compliance-related tasks are executed
    • Support budgeting processes and analyze budget-to-actual performance
    • Maintain accurate records in property management systems, including tenants, owners, vendors, and property data
    • Collaborate with property management to ensure timely and accurate tenant billing
    • Maintain confidentiality of financial and corporate data
    • Build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and management

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
    • Experience in real estate or property management accounting required
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Skills

    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Experience with accounting/property management systems such as MRI, Yardi, Entrata, or QuickBooks (preferred)
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
