Position OverviewPeople Source OKC is seeking an experienced
Senior Accountant for a direct-hire opportunity in Oklahoma City.The ideal candidate will have strong professional accounting experience with substantial exposure to
month-end closing, forecasting, budgeting, customer billing, financial reporting, and auditing.We are looking for someone who is organized, analytical, proactive, and comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a team.
Responsibilities- Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Assist with and support the monthly and year-end closing processes
- Work closely with accounting team members during month-end close
- Assist with forecasting and budgeting activities
- Support customer billing and related accounting functions
- Assist with the annual audit process
- Assist with drafting financial statements and related notes
- Research and analyze expense variances
- Prepare and provide financial information to company management
- Identify and assist with resolving accounting discrepancies
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
- Provide additional accounting support as needed
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of professional accounting and/or auditing experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Accounting degree preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with month-end closing processes
- Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Proactive and willing to assist wherever needed
- Must be comfortable working 100% onsite
Preferred Qualifications- Oracle EBS experience preferred
- Previous experience assisting with annual audits
- Experience preparing or supporting financial statements and related notes
- Customer billing experience
