Job Title: Sr. Accounting Associate
Job Location: Cleveland, OH (Onsite)
Job Duration: 5 Months (Possible extension and potential to convert to FTE)
Schedule: 8 AM 5 PM, Monday Friday

Job Description:
Summary
As a Sr. Accounting Associate, you will handle routine accounting activities including general ledger maintenance, managerial reports, and financial statements, ensuring financial data is accurate, organized, and compliant.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial documents (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, budgets, payroll).
  • Maintain accuracy of general ledger, taxes, and financial data.
  • Perform month-end close entries and reconcile balance sheets & P&L statements.
  • Post to GL, review budget variances, and forecast business changes.
  • Review variance explanation reports for accuracy.
  • Track accounts receivable and confirm proper payment recording.
  • Verify account balances for correctness.
  • Assist with accounting system conversions/enhancements and train peers.
  • Evaluate billing/invoicing data and submit cash applications.
  • Research and resolve accounts receivable issues.
  • Apply standard accounting principles and solve routine problems.
  • Analyze solutions using technical experience and judgment.
  • Lead by example, modeling Client RISE values.
  • Impact quality of own work and team s work.
  • Work within standardized procedures to meet deadlines.
  • Explain complex information in straightforward situations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor s Degree preferred (2 5 years relevant experience required).
  • Combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Knowledge of procedures/standards to solve moderately complex problems.
  • Strong analytical and judgment skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills with inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills (percentages, fractions, complex financial calculations).
  • Experience preparing/reviewing complex financial statements and reports.
  • Ability to work within standardized procedures to meet objectives.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex information clearly.
