HARVARD RESOURCE SOLUTIONS is hiring a SENIOR ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST to provide support for a retail organization. Assist the accounting department in AP/AR and reconciliation activities.
POSITION TYPE: Full time. Fully remote (Open to residents of Southeast Michigan only). Temporary position scheduled to last 4-5 weeks. PAY: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
Requirements of the Sr. Accounting Specialist:
Degree in Accounting or Finance would be nice to have but is not required.
Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles is required.
Previous work experience processing Accounts Payables and Receivables.
Strong analysis and account reconciliation skills needed.
Software skills: Microsoft (Dynamics 365) Business Central skills highly desirable. Strong Excel skills for pulling data and reports and performing reconciliations. (Spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables)
Cannabis industry experience is a plus.
Market candidate who is immediately available for work.
Duties of the Sr. Accounting Specialist:
Provide support for a company that is currently closing down retail locations.
Retrieve vendor invoices and check for validity. Enter Accounts Payable invoices into the system for processing. Gain approval to pay. Take part in payment runs and payment distribution to vendors.
Assist in Accounts Receivable activities such as posting cash/payments into the system.
Reconciling account balances and bank accounts. Cash reports.
Maintain spreadsheets tracking accounting data.
Produce reports as requested.
Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
