Sr Advanced Software Engineer

Our client, a global aerospace and avionics technology leader is seeking a Flight Management Systems Software Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Flight Management Systems Software Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Avionics Software & Systems Team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, collaboration, and attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Flight Management Systems Software Engineer
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite in Phoenix, AZ)
Pay Range: $57

What’s the Job? 

• Design and develop core software architecture for Flight Management Systems (FMS)
• Integrate FMS software for next-generation avionics platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and specifications
• Perform testing, integration, and validation in lab environments
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with certification standards (DO-178C)

What’s Needed? 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
• 8+ years of experience in Flight Management Systems (FMS) software development
• Strong C++ or object-oriented programming experience
• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies
• Strong software architecture and design development skills
