Role Summary

Optum is seeking a Sr. AI Engineer to support the operationalization, quality engineering, and secure deployment of agentic AI solutions using agentic AI tools. This role helps shape the AI product development lifecycle (PDLC) and focuses on Azure DevOps, AI operations, and automated testing and compliance to ensure AI systems are production-ready and aligned with enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and support agentic AI solutions in enterprise production environments
• Design, implement, and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for AI workloads
• Build and execute automated QA and test engineering strategies for AI systems
• Ensure AI security, risk, and compliance requirements are met throughout the PDLC
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize agentic AI operations
• Partner with engineering and security teams to harden AI solutions for scale
• Build infrastructure as code (IaC) for AI solutions in cloud environments

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps
• Strong background in QA / Test Engineering
• Experience supporting agentic AI operations in production environments
• Experience using agentic coding tools
• Experience implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) in cloud environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with MLOps or AI platform engineering
• Experience with enterprise or regulated environments
• Experience implementing observability for agentic solutions
• Experience implementing AI security and compliance controls
• Experience with LLM/agent evaluations
