Job Title: Sr. AI Platform Engineer
Job Location: 100% REMOTE (*Must currently reside in the US)
Pay Range: $170k–$270k Base Salary + Equity + Comprehensive Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits (100% paid for by the employer for employees and dependents)

Must Have:
  • 5+ years of backend software engineering experience with modern technologies (Python, Go, Typescript, etc.)
  • 1+ year of building AI application(s) such as creating AI assistants, building AI agents, connecting AI models, etc. - LLM, RAG, MCP
  • Experience building and maintaining the infrastructure behind the AI - DevOps, Kubernetes, Cloud

Preferred:
  • Snowflake, Databricks, or dbt
  • Startup experience

Job Details

We are seeking a tenured Software Engineer to build and run the company’s AI platform. This position will create AI assistants and agents that can answer questions accurately using company data, while making sure the system is secure, reliable, affordable, and safe for large businesses.

The role is basically 50% AI engineer + 50% Cloud/DevOps engineer.

Key Responsibilities
• Build AI features
○ Create AI assistants (“Copilot”) that understand customer databases and business information.
○ Build AI agents that can perform tasks but require human approval before making important changes.
○ Connect AI models to trusted company data so they give correct answers instead of making things up.
• Make AI reliable
○ Test whether AI answers are accurate.
○ Monitor AI performance.
○ Prevent mistakes, security issues, and bad outputs.
• Build the infrastructure behind the AI
○ Run the servers, cloud systems, and software that power the AI.
○ Use AWS, Kubernetes, and automation tools to keep everything fast, secure, and available.
○ Control costs so running AI doesn’t become too expensive.
• Protect enterprise customers
○ Add security controls for companies like banks and healthcare organizations.
○ Protect sensitive data.
○ Ensure AI actions are controlled and auditable.

The ideal person is someone who:
• Has built real AI applications (not just demos)
• Is an expert software engineer
• Knows cloud infrastructure deeply
• Can deploy and maintain systems in production
• Understands that enterprise AI must be accurate and trustworthy, not just impressive

Must Have:
