    Job Description

Would you like to be part of a team that is creating new ways for customers to discover and engage with Amazon? The Fuse team builds products that connect partner ecosystems to Amazon, creating new entry points for customers who haven"t yet experienced what Amazon has to offer. Our products enable partners to distribute their services directly on Amazon, turning routine transactions into gateways for discovery, engagement, and long-term customer relationships.

We are seeking a customer-obsessed, forward-thinking Senior User Experience Designer who embraces AI as a core part of the design craft. In this role, you will define, articulate, and champion the end-to-end experience of Fuse"s partner and customer-facing products-designing intuitive, user-centered digital experiences while leveraging generative AI to accelerate research, ideation, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and documentation.

You will excel at investigating, understanding, and designing experiences that solve complex customer problems through innovative solutions. Your passion is translating abstract concepts into solid design deliverables such as complex workflows, wireframes, user interface designs, interaction models, and prototypes. The ideal candidate views AI as a creative collaborator-not a replacement-approaches challenges with clarity and empathy, inspires others, and continuously explores emerging AI technologies to improve design quality, speed, and innovation.

As a hands-on creative leader, you will establish a vision and strategy, always putting the needs of our customers first. In this cross-functional role, you will collaborate with product teams, engineering teams, and executive leadership to identify and execute on opportunities-distilling customer insights into actions that benefit the organization and serving as the voice of the customer with senior leadership.

If you are passionate about using design to inform early strategic decision-making, enjoy working closely with diverse and highly skilled teams, and want your efforts to translate into real impact at the intersection of partner ecosystems and AI-assisted design, we encourage you to apply.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Own and drive the end-to-end UX design process-from discovery through implementation-for major features or product areas of Fuse.
    • Create and validate design solutions through user research, journey mapping, task analysis, data analysis, and iterative usability testing.
    • Develop personas, information architecture, user flows, wireframes, interaction models, and high-fidelity prototypes.
    • Partner effectively with Product Managers, Engineers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to define, validate, and deliver solutions.
    • Ensure accessibility, usability, and consistency across all digital products.
    • Integrate AI into every phase of the UX lifecycle to improve productivity and design quality, using AI platforms to generate design concepts and alternatives, produce user flows and wireframes, create interactive prototypes, generate UX documentation, summarize research findings, identify usability issues, produce interface copy and microcopy, and analyze user feedback.
    • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for usability, accessibility, ethics, accuracy, and business alignment; continuously refine AI prompts and workflows to improve design outcomes.
    • Influence product strategy through strong design rationale and customer advocacy.
    • Define and document design patterns that can scale across multiple products.
    • Balance customer needs with technical constraints while maintaining a high bar for quality.
    • Present work to senior stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively.
    • Stay current on advancements in generative AI, large language models, design automation, and AI-assisted research.

    A day in the life

Your day starts by reviewing overnight user feedback and research signals, using AI to surface themes worth exploring. You sketch flows for a new partner onboarding experience, then prompt generative tools to spin up wireframe alternatives you refine by hand. Midday, you partner with a PM and engineers to pressure-test a prototype against technical constraints, then run a quick usability session. In the afternoon, you synthesize findings, draft interface copy, and update your design patterns library. You close the day presenting a design rationale to senior stakeholders, championing the customer and shaping the strategic direction of a Fuse product area.

    About the team

You"ll join a dynamic UX team within Amazon Fuse that supports each other"s development and is passionate about creating exceptional experiences for both 3P partners and customers. Fuse builds the products that connect partner ecosystems to Amazon-turning routine transactions into gateways for discovery and long-term engagement. We offer mentorship, autonomy, and opportunities to contribute to our collaborative culture while working on some of the most exciting challenges in partner distribution and AI-assisted design.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
