Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Associate/Sr. Analyst External Reporting for a FULL TIME assignment with one of our premier Financial clients in Boston, MA.

Boston, MA | Hybrid (4 Days in office)

The Associate / Senior Analyst, External Financial Reporting will support quarterly and annual financial reporting and disclosure processes for insurance and reinsurance entities. This individual will assist with financial statement preparation, footnotes, supporting schedules, reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting deliverables while partnering across multiple areas of the organization.The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in GAAP reporting, financial statement preparation, and reporting cycles, preferably within insurance, reinsurance, or financial services environments .

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with preparation and compilation of quarterly and annual financial reports, disclosures, footnotes, and supporting documentation
• Support financial statement preparation and related reporting deliverables
• Coordinate internal and external review processes during reporting cycles
• Collect, validate, and document supporting financial reporting information
• Reconcile ledger activity to source data and supporting schedules
• Perform flux and variance analysis to identify key reporting drivers and trends
• Partner cross-functionally with accounting, reinsurance, treasury, tax, actuarial, legal, investment accounting, risk management, investor relations, and audit teams
• Assist with process improvements, reporting enhancements, and special projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
• CPA or CPA-track preferred
• 4–8 years of relevant accounting, audit, or financial reporting experience
• Insurance and/or reinsurance industry experience strongly preferred
• Big 4 audit experience preferred, particularly within insurance or financial services
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and financial reporting principles
• Experience with Workiva required
• Familiarity with Oracle FCCS, OneStream, or similar consolidation/reporting platforms preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally
