What you’ll be doing...

 We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst for Business Intelligence, Reporting & Analytics to transform raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions within the Verizon Consumer Group. In this role, you will design enterprise dashboard solutions, model complex business data, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to elevate our analytics capabilities, specifically supporting our transition from legacy systems to modern cloud environments.

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable dashboards and reports using Looker and Tableau.
• Architect executive-level scorecards (e.g.,Team Scorecards) that tie active Jira tickets and operational metrics to core business priorities.
• Writing complex SQL queries for BigQuery and optimizing data pipelines to ensure reporting efficiency.
• Performing table access dependency audits and resolving environmental blockers between production and non-production datasets.
• Mapping internal datasets (e.g., Retail C2C, Automerge cohort call activity) to unified reporting views.
• Partnering with business leaders for Mobile and Fios to translate requirements into precise KPIs. 
• Delivering rapid-response data analysis for senior leadership, including call volume trends and credit intelligence.
• Explore and deploy AI agents on the VZ AI Platform (Agent Builder/Fleet) to automate routine workflows and project timeline tracking.
• Train end-users and stakeholders on Looker interfaces (explorers) and new data structures within the GCP environment.
• Using SQL (BigQuery) for optimizing complex data pipelines and resolving environmental blockers between production and non-production datasets.
• Using Looker (LookML) and Tableau, focusing on migrating mission-critical reporting from legacy systems to Google Cloud Platform.
• Establishing and maintaining Jira governance for project tracking, including the organization of ad-hoc SQL documentation and internal vs. stakeholder-facing repositories.
• Managing the full project lifecycle with high confidence, ensuring that all metrics are reported with absolute accuracy.
• Aligning with Associate Directors and stakeholders through clear, intentional communication to eliminate ambiguity in project movement and delivery.
• Actively participating in Performance Guide (PG) sessions to align technical output with organizational KPIs and executive scorecards.
• Mentoring junior analysts on data storytelling, visualization standards, and Jira governance processes.

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Three or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
• Experience in SQL (window functions, CTEs) and major BI platforms, specifically Looker and BigQuery.
• Experience with modern cloud warehouses like GCP/BigQuery; experience with Teradata migrations is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive-ready presentation capabilities.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in the use of Teradata SQL and MS SQL servers (SSIS/SSAS/SSRS).
• Familiarity with AI platforms (e.g., NotebookLM, VZ Agent Builder/Fleet) and Jira for project governance
• Experience with statistical software like SAS or SPSS.
• Programmed in R or Python.
• Familiarity with data visualization software. Ideally, COGNOS or Tableau.
• Managed projects and delivered results for multiple partners.
• Exposure to Compliance and Risk Management.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $68,000.00 - $123,000.00.

The annual salary range for the Illinois location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $75,000.00 - $123,000.00.
