About the Team

You will be part of the Marketing Strategy & Analytics department within Williams-Sonoma, Inc. (WSI). The Audience Strategy & Enablement team partners with marketing teams across all WSI brands - including Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, West Elm, and more - to drive smarter targeting, measurement, and customer engagement through data and technology.

About the Role

This is a high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of marketing strategy, data, and emerging AI - and an opportunity to shape how a leading omni-channel retailer uses automation and intelligence to drive measurable marketing outcomes.

You will partner closely with Digital Marketing, Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM), and Loyalty teams to turn data into action - building scalable solutions, surfacing insights, and identifying opportunities to automate and accelerate how our marketing organization operates. As AI capabilities evolve, you''ll play a meaningful role in piloting and scaling agentic workflows that extend the reach of our marketing data team.

The ideal candidate is analytically rigorous, naturally collaborative, and energized by translating complexity into clarity for business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Digital Marketing, CRM, and Loyalty teams to deliver targeting solutions, performance analysis, and workflow automation that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines that connect ecommerce, clickstream, CRM, and third-party data sources to marketing use cases.
  • Identify high-ROI opportunities to automate repetitive marketing processes and translate them into scalable solutions.
  • Surface actionable insights from complex datasets and communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and scale ReAct agents, Custom GPTs and agentic workflows to support workflows across Marketing Operations.

Criteria

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing analytics, data engineering, or a related field - ideally supporting a consumer brand or agency.
  • Strong SQL skills and comfort working in cloud data environments (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation.
  • Solid grasp of the digital marketing ecosystem - paid media, ad tech, CRM, and how data flows across channels.
  • Experience with data visualization or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Domo, Power BI).
  • A track record of translating ambiguous business questions into structured analyses with clear recommendations.
  • Bachelor''s degree in a quantitative or technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks, including tool use, memory management, task decomposition and routing across multi-step agentic workflows.
  • Experience in retail or e-commerce supporting omni-channel marketing teams preferred.
  • Hands-on experience deploying AI agents in a business context, including building semantic context layers, prompt and output evaluation, knowledge grounding and iterative testing against defined success metrics preferred.
  • Familiarity with Python / R libraries for time series and causal analyses or marketing measurement methodologies (MMM, MTA) preferred.
  • This role requires being onsite in the San Francisco, CA office Monday through Thursday.
