    Description

    United Rentals is the world's largest equipment rental provider. We are looking for an experienced Sr. Cloud BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting solutions using Sigma and Tableau.ResponsibilitiesCollect and analyze information requirements from business users or IT proxies, turning them into use cases, requirements analysis, and general design for enterprise reporting applications.Develop Sigma and Tableau dashboards, visualizations, and reports that solve complex business problems, applying innovative insights and creative approaches.Mentor and train business and analytics teams on best practices for Sigma and Tableau, providing guidance to fellow developers.Establish and enforce standards and best practices for consistent, accurate use of Tableau and Sigma across the company, ensuring data security, integrity, and regulatory compliance.Assist in Tableau administration, including user provisioning, server management, license administration, and version upgrades.Perform other duties as assigned to support the Enterprise Reporting & Analytics team.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and certifications in Sigma/Tableau software.Five+ years of Tableau development, web‑API, and administration experience.Current Tableau Certified Professional (good standing).At least one year of Sigma Computing development experience.Five+ years of experience with relational databases (Snowflake preferred).Strong SQL coding skills (minimum five years).Data modeling experience (minimum two years).Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to diagnose and resolve problems independently with creative solutions.Ability to communicate standards and best practices and train report developers on their use.Collaboration skills to work with report developers, data modelers, and business analysts to meet BI infrastructure needs.Experience providing BI functional help desk support (first and second level, on‑call support).Availability for onsite office attendance in Bridgeport, CT or Stamford, CT (three days in office per week; remote on Monday and Friday).BenefitsPaid Parental LeaveUnited Compassion FundEmployee Discount ProgramCareer Development & Promotional OpportunitiesAdditional Vacation Buy‑Up Program (US Only)Early Wage Access through Payactiv (US Hourly Only)Paid Sick LeaveInclusive and welcoming culture and diversity initiativesUnited Rentals, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and makes employment decisions regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, genetic information, citizenship status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or any other status protected by law.
