Job Title: Senior Analyst - Consolidation Reporting

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Senior Associate will be responsible for overseeing tasks related to the financial reporting requirements for the Newell Brands global consolidation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primarily responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our financial reporting for our segments
Analytically review results for each reporting unit and identify unexplained or unexpected variances and work with counterparts to resolve any potential issues
Identify data validation issues and work to resolve
Responsible for the accounting function maintaining restructuring and related accruals including recording journal entries, preparing reconciliations and roll-forwards
Create and maintain consolidation adjustments for reporting units, as needed including reviewing foreign currency translation and ensure amounts are appropriate
Facilitate the resolution of intercompany out of balance conditions
Assist in accounting for areas such as corporate Treasury and Tax transactions
Support supplemental reporting that directly impact account roll forwards and the statement of cash flows including management of data flow from our main ERP system into HFM
Understand our consolidation system (HFM) including requirements, reporting and system functionality
Responsible for preparing select financial statements footnotes that support SEC filings in accordance with US GAAP
Assist with special projects within the team as well as with other corporate departments or operating units, as needed
Ensure businesses are adhering to financial policies, practices and procedures, including internal control protocols
Work directly with internal and external auditors on specific requests

The Connecticut pay range for this position is from $95,000 - 110,000. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.
