Are you ready to join us?Your RoleAs a Sr. Associate I, Field Technical Service Engineer , you will be responsible for ensuring that Alcon surgical equipment installed at customer sites and demo locations operates effectively and in line with specifications. You will act as a key technical expert in the field, combining hands‑on engineering expertise with a strong customer focus.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of Alcon surgical equipment within your assigned territoryCarry out preventive maintenance , equipment installations, and upgrades according to company procedures and guidelinesIdentify and resolve complex technical issues , including those related to equipment start‑upResearch, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment upgrades based on customer needsBuild and maintain strong customer relationships to support Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC/CAMC) sales and renewalsTrain and instruct customers on the proper use and operation of Alcon equipmentMaintain accurate service logs , prepare technical reports, and contribute to product failure analysisEscalate technical issues to appropriate Engineering and cross‑functional teamsPlan and manage your daily activities independently, ensuring effective communication with customers, dispatch, managers, and internal stakeholdersStrictly follow GxP regulations , Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and documentation requirementsComplete all required training and actively contribute to continuous improvement and regulatory complianceAll associates are expected to comply with GxP standards, maintain accurate documentation, and meet individual job requirements to support the overall compliance and quality objectives of the organization.Candidate ProfileUniversity degree in Engineering (electronics, electrotechnics, mechanics, mechatronics, transport/industrial equipment or related fields)Minimum 5 years of experience in installation, service, and maintenance of technical equipment; experience with medical devices is a strong advantageStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical environmentsHigh level of autonomy, organization skills, and willingness to travel within the North‑West region of RomaniaCustomer‑oriented mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skillsFluent in Romanian and English (spoken and written); all technical training is conducted in EnglishLocation for this role is Cluj Napoca and around (not Bucarest)Why Join Alcon?A field‑based engineering role with high responsibility and visibilityExposure to cutting‑edge medical technologies and structured technical trainingOpportunities for professional growth within a global, innovative organizationA collaborative and inclusive culture that values expertise, commitment, and initiativeThe chance to directly contribute to improving patients' vision and quality of life#J-18808-Ljbffr
