Description


The Senior Associate, Network Management Operations serves as a strategic business partner to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Network Management by leading high-priority operational initiatives, managing cross-functional projects, and facilitating execution of department-wide strategic priorities. Acting as an extension of the SVP, this role exercises independent judgment and discretion in coordinating complex initiatives, representing leadership in designated meetings, evaluating operational issues, and making decisions within delegated authority.

This position functions similarly to a Chief of Staff for the Network Management organization, driving organizational effectiveness through project leadership, executive-level coordination, operational analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. The Senior Associate works with leaders across the organization to ensure strategic initiatives are executed effectively, operational priorities remain aligned, and leadership decisions are translated into actionable results.

What You'll Do


Strategic Project Leadership
  • Lead assigned strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects on behalf of the SVP, ensuring objectives, timelines, and deliverables are achieved
  • Develop project plans, implementation strategies, milestones, and success metrics for operational initiatives
  • Independently monitor project progress, identify risks, resolve barriers, and recommend corrective actions to leadership
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives while balancing competing organizational priorities
  • Evaluate project outcomes and recommend process improvements to enhance operational performance

Executive Operations & Strategic Support
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and operational partner to the SVP by translating organizational priorities into actionable work plans
  • Represent the SVP in designated meetings, workgroups, and operational discussions, documenting key decisions, providing updates, and facilitating follow-up actions
  • Exercise delegated authority to make routine operational decisions on behalf of the SVP consistent with established departmental objectives
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, business cases, dashboards, briefing materials, and recommendations to support leadership decision-making
  • Conduct research, analyze operational issues, and develop recommendations for executive review

Organizational Leadership & Chief of Staff Functions
  • Coordinate department-wide planning activities, leadership meetings, and strategic operating reviews
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among Network Management leaders to ensure alignment on priorities, deliverables, and organizational initiatives
  • Monitor action items resulting from leadership meetings and hold stakeholders accountable for timely completion
  • Develop standardized operating procedures, project governance tools, and reporting mechanisms to improve organizational effectiveness
  • Serve as a central point of coordination for enterprise initiatives impacting Network Management

Business Operations & Analytics
  • Analyze operational data, performance metrics, and project outcomes to identify trends and recommend business improvements
  • Develop executive dashboards, reports, scorecards, and performance summaries for leadership review
  • Assist in annual operational planning, departmental goal setting, budget monitoring, and resource planning
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, workflow effectiveness, and organizational processes

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with leaders across Operations, Provider Contracting, Provider Relations, Market Operations, Credentialing, Finance, Compliance, Legal, and other departments to drive enterprise initiatives
  • Facilitate issue resolution among cross-functional stakeholders while maintaining alignment with organizational priorities
  • Build collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization to support strategic execution

Governance & Compliance
  • Support compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations related to Network Management operations
  • Coordinate documentation and responses for audits, compliance reviews, and executive reporting requests
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive organizational, financial, and personnel information
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications


Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Project Management, or a related field required
  • Minimum of at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare operations, business operations, project management, consulting, network management, strategy, or related field
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and organizational initiatives
  • Experience supporting executive leadership and influencing operational decision-making
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion on matters of operational significance
  • Strong project management and organizational leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities with experience evaluating complex business issues
  • Ability to independently prioritize competing initiatives while managing multiple deadlines
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to interact effectively with senior leaders
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate meetings, drive accountability, and influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
  • Experience preparing executive dashboards, reports, and presentations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive business information

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions


  • This is an on-site position that alternates between offices. The office is located at 9700 Flair Drive, El Monte, CA 91731 and 1668 S. Garfield Ave, Alhambra, CA 91801.
  • The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $75,000  - $85,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors.
