Take the lead in keeping our parks, athletic fields, and facilities operating at their best! This position provides supervisory, administrative, and technical leadership for multi-site park and athletic operations, including oversight of the ballfield renovation crew, athletic staff, facility maintenance, turf and irrigation operations, contractor services, special events, and maintenance projects. The role also coordinates staffing and daily work assignments, conducts field and safety inspections, supports budgeting and purchasing, and ensures facilities and equipment meet established service and safety standards.
This position also plays an important role in athletic programming and community partnerships by coordinating facility scheduling and contract bookings, supporting tournaments and special events, and serving as the department's liaison to the Youth Sports Council. The ideal candidate is a strong, hands-on leader who can develop staff, manage multiple priorities and projects, maintain accurate records and reports, communicate effectively with internal and external customers, and help ensure safe, well-maintained facilities and exceptional service throughout the community.

If assigned pesticide-related duties, Pesticide Applicator's license from the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services
Within one (1) year of position assignment:
Aerial Lift certification

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work requires some exposure to environmental changes (e.g., outdoor weather and/or field conditions, warehouses, covered loading docks, garages, etc.) or irate customers, extreme noise, odors, heights and/or dust.
