POSITION TITLE: SENIOR AUDITOR
DEPARTMENT: INTERNAL AUDIT OPERATIONS

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial field required; CIA, CPA, CISA or willingness to pursue certification preferred
Minimum of 2 years of auditing experience or related business experience required; Experience within the mutual fund or financial services industry preferred
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel) required
Experience conducting operational/process audits preferred
Experience with data analytics concepts/tools preferred
MAJOR DUTIES:
• Execute and document all phases of SOX-related processes, including risk-based planning, and evaluation of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), testing of key controls and preparation of remedication recommendations in accordance with SOX requirements.
• Assume the role of in-charge auditor as assigned; lead on-site engagements of non-Pittsburgh based Federated entities as well as third party service providers to ensure compliance with SOX and internal control standards, as requested.
• Make recommendations to correct deficiencies identified through audit testing and communicate audit issues to Auditees under the direction of Audit Management.
• Draft audit comments or audit reports under direction of Audit Management, review audit workpapers as assigned, train Staff Auditors as requested.
• Responsible for maintaining professional competence through review of current accounting/auditing and mutual fund industry literature and attendance at relevant seminars, conferences and training sessions.
• Responsible for personal conduct in accordance with the Federated Internal Audit Charter and the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.

• 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (overtime as required)
