Sr Automation Engineer <\/span><\/span><\/span>

Location: Novato CA (Hybrid)<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Duration of Contract: Long term , Starts Immediate , runs through March 2027, with possible extension<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/p>

  • Implement capital automation projects using industry best practices and company business processes.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Support the scope, deliverables, schedule, and project team for capital expenditure (CapEx) of automation projects.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Participate in the development and evaluation of <\/span><\/span><\/span>RFP <\/span><\/span><\/span>and bidder/<\/span><\/span><\/span>vendor<\/span><\/span><\/span> analysis for General contracting and engineering services when design build method used.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Works directly with project controls to prepare and update project status, schedule, resource, and cost reports within Oracle based tools (OPPM & P6) for the use of numerous BMRN departments.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Identify and oversee system integrations.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Ensure consultants & contractors working on any automation related projects maintain compliance with all <\/span><\/span><\/span>GMP<\/span><\/span><\/span> requirements (including training), EHS&S and security requirements, including completion and review of Job Hazard Assessments and company policies.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Coordinate/support engineering and automation design, commissioning, qualification, and the QA<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Validation groups as appropriate.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Proactively look for and recommend improvements in site processes and procedures.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Represent the Capital Project Automation group with good communication and presentationskills.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Provide status reports on Projects to Automation Management as required.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/span>

    • Minimum 10 years of<\/span><\/span> automation engineerin<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>g<\/span><\/span><\/span> experience preferably in the biotech or <\/span><\/span><\/span>pharmaceutical organization<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Experience with <\/span><\/span>Emerson DeltaV<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/span>Process Control System (PCS)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Ability to work with minimal direct supervision: meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, provide recommendations and effectively communicate updates.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Experienced with communicating with in supporting Executive Management as well as providing direction support for multiple projects simultaneously.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Must be very organized and possess strong verbal and written communications skills.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Must be proficient with Internet navigation, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Teams, Sharepoint), Adobe Acrobat<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Should be flexible to working outside the core business hours (occasionally on short notice, and a limited basis) as needed.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Proven ability to manage multiple and fast -moving priorities.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Ability to work well in a fast -paced collaborative team environment within a rapidly evolving business environment.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Skilled at solving multi -dimensional problems with both quantitative and qualitative variables.<\/span><\/span>

    • Ability to lead and influence others in support of company objectives.<\/span><\/span>

    • Solid understanding of <\/span><\/span><\/span>GMP, GLP<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>, and non -GMP project requirements<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Able to read and understand engineering plans and specifications.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • BS degree from an accredited university in a construction or engineering related field.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Could be a combination of AS degree and industry experience.   <\/span><\/span>
