Position Description: AWS Cloud Engineer (Mid-to-Senior Level) 
Position Summary: 
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in Kubernetes container orchestration and cloud-native technologies. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS. This role requires advanced knowledge of AWS architecture, containerization, automation, and DevOps practices to support modern application deployments. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
·        Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure 
o   Design and implement complex AWS architectures leveraging services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and CloudFront. 
o   Apply best practices for scalability, security, high availability, and cost optimization. 
o   Lead migration and modernization initiatives for cloud workloads. 
·        Containerization & Orchestration 
o   Build and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS) for containerized workloads. 
o   Develop and customize Helm charts for packaging and deploying applications on Kubernetes. 
o   Manage Kubernetes manifests (YAML) for deployments, services, ingress, and other resources. 
o   Implement advanced Kubernetes features such as RBAC, network policies, and autoscaling. 
·        Automation & CI/CD 
o   Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. 
o   Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub Actions. 
o   Automate operational tasks and deployments for efficiency and reliability. 
·        Relational & NoSQL databases 
o   Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high performance, data integrity, and efficient query execution. 
o   Build and manage scalable MongoDB/DocumentDB data models, document-based schemas and performance tuning for high-volume workloads. 
·        Monitoring & Logging: 
o   Configure observability tool (CloudWatch) for performance monitoring. 
o   Implement centralized logging and alerting systems for proactive issue resolution. 
·        Security & Compliance: 
o   Enforce AWS security best practices, including IAM roles, policies, encryption, and network segmentation. 
o   Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. 
·        Collaboration & Leadership: 
o   Partner with development teams to optimize application deployments. 
o   Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on cloud and Kubernetes best practices. 
 
Required Skills & Experience: 
·        AWS Expertise:  
o   5+ years of hands-on experience designing and managing AWS services and architectures. 
·        Kubernetes & Containers:  
o   Strong experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred), Docker, and container lifecycle management. 
o   Proficiency with Helm and Kubernetes manifests for deployment automation. 
·        Infrastructure as Code:  
o   Advanced proficiency in Terraform. 
·        DevOps Tools:  
o   Expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and automation. 
·        Scripting & Programming:  
o   Strong knowledge of Python, Bash, and similar scripting languages. 
·        Networking & Security:  
o   Deep understanding of VPC, subnets, security groups, IAM, and network security. 
 
Required Qualifications: 
·        AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer. 
 
Soft Skills: 
·        Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
·        Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. 
·        Ability to lead projects and mentor team members.
