What we are looking for:
Pivotal Consulting is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to partner with business and technology teams to identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and user experiences through technology solutions. This role translates business needs into clear requirements, supports solution design and testing, and helps ensure successful delivery across complex projects and enhancements. It also provides leadership, mentoring, and guidance to other analysts.
What you will do:- Elicit, document, and communicate business requirements, user needs, and functional specifications.
- Partner with stakeholders to define business objectives and translate them into effective technology solutions.
- Support solution design, vendor coordination, testing, issue resolution, and implementation activities.
- Lead business readiness efforts by assessing people, process, and system impacts.
- Manage smaller enhancements or projects as needed.
- Support production issues and application troubleshooting in collaboration with technical teams.
- Maintain documentation, process materials, lifecycle roadmaps, and disaster recovery plans.
- Develop data management strategies, including automation and support for reporting needs.
- Mentor and support less experienced business analysts.
What makes you a good fit:- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience with business software applications.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Snowflake.
- Strong knowledge of waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational database concepts.
- Experience with SDLC practices, testing support, and troubleshooting from a functional perspective.
- Ability to analyze data, build business cases, and communicate recommendations clearly.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to create technical diagrams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-directed, adaptable, and capable of working at both strategic and tactical levels.

Compensation, Diversity and Benefit Information:The pay range for this position in Washington is $50-$65/hr.
