Sr. Business Analyst

Location: Harrisburg, PA | Duration: 09 Months | Hybrid

Position Summary:
Seeking for a Sr. Business Analyst for crucial project will involve working with business unit experts to recommend system improvements while retaining key functionalities. The role requires a strong background in process improvements, independent work capability, and effective teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document existing requirements of the application and ensure all key functionalities are accounted for.
• Prioritize requirements and link them to legislative/policy requirements where applicable.
• Collaborate with business units to recommend system improvements and propose new features.
• Work with the Product Manager to translate business requirements into clear user stories and define acceptance criteria.
• Assist in analyzing technical approaches and support change management, user adoption, and training efforts.
• Ensure the product aligns with security, accessibility (WCAG), data privacy, and compliance standards.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and impediments, providing regular status updates to IT leadership and business sponsors.

Must-Have Skills and Experience:

• 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least three in a Sr. Analyst role.
• Experience in analyzing legacy applications or leading digital transformation requirement gathering.
• Strong experience in gathering requirements and translating them into user stories.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar).
• Experience with testing large projects and leading/coordinating UAT.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing demands.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with enterprise application modernization (e.g., migrating from legacy platforms).
• Experience with process improvement and business process reengineering.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and public-sector compliance requirements.
