Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join a highly collaborative team responsible for 24x7 production and analytical support for enterprise‑critical applications used nationwide. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in incident-driven environments, enjoys deep technical analysis, and is comfortable supporting both on‑prem and cloud-based systems.

This position plays a key role in ensuring application stability, rapid incident resolution, and continuous operational improvement across a complex application ecosystem.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will act as a senior point of contact for production issues while also contributing to system analysis and ongoing enhancements.

You will:

  • Provide Level 1 & Level 2 production support as part of a 24x7 on‑call rotation, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Triage, manage, and resolve incidents, coordinating across technical and business stakeholders
  • Perform advanced data analysis using complex SQL queries to diagnose issues and support investigations
  • Analyze application logs and system behavior across on‑prem and cloud environments
  • Support applications deployed in both traditional and cloud infrastructures
  • Document processes, troubleshooting steps, and system behaviors to improve support efficiency
  • Participate in testing, system health checks, and operational readiness activities

Required Experience & Skills

This role is not entry‑level. Candidates must demonstrate hands‑on experience in production environments.

You must have:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role in a production environment
  • Proven experience working on a 24x7 on‑call production support team
  • Strong incident management experience (triage, prioritization, coordination, resolution)
  • Advanced SQL skills (writing complex queries for analysis and troubleshooting)
  • Experience supporting mission‑critical applications with high availability requirements
  • Ability to work across multiple communication channels in fast‑paced situations

Technical Environment (Experience with some of the following)

  • Relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redshift, SQL Server or similar)
  • Cloud platforms and services (AWS or comparable)
  • Log analysis and monitoring tools
  • Ticketing and workflow tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow)
  • On‑prem and cloud‑based application architectures

You do not need cloud migration experience, but you must be comfortable supporting applications that run in both environments.

Work Model & Support Expectations

  • Remote role - Participation in rotational shift coverage aligned to extended business hours
  • After‑hours and weekend on‑call support as part of a shared team rotation
  • Additional hours may be required during incidents or deployments, with flexibility built into the schedule
