Senior Buyer
Location: Geismar, LA
Duration: 6months to begin

• Supports the Procurement Lead with the sourcing and procurement of goods and services in accordance with company policies, procedures and strategies
• Manages the administration of labor contracts
• Provides guidance and support to the Vendor Sponsors and Vendor Key Contacts. Experience of procurement (procure to pay cycle), of plant spares (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) and equipment
• 5 years Procurement/Contracts or related experience
• 3 years' experience supporting Turnarounds and Capital Projects
• Negotiates the acquisition of goods and services for normal operations and Turnarounds at optimum cost.
• Proven working knowledge of contract law, insurance law and tendering processes
• Knowledge of computerized procurement management system
