Description Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. The Leo team is looking for a Senior Category Sourcing Manager to support business and engineering stakeholders in selecting, developing and managing business relationships with critical technology and service suppliers, and others as needed to execute on Leo objectives. Key job responsibilities The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing highly strategic suppliers. This individual will be responsible managing dispenser and release mechanism providers, executing global sourcing and supplier engagement strategies, negotiating long-term commercial agreements and statements of work, and driving supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and technical execution. Success in this role requires the ability to operate effectively in a highly visible, fast-paced environment with significant executive exposure, international supplier engagement, and periodic domestic and overseas travel. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, quality, operations, manufacturing, and program leadership, while solving complex challenges in ambiguous environments, will be highly valued. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and relationship management skills to influence outcomes across a diverse global supplier network. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field - 6+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience - 6+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience - 6+ years of related industry experience - Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies - Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company - Experience in program, project or product management, or leading product implementation Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field - Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction - Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners - Experience practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
