HMBProfessional Engineers is seeking a Sr.CEI Inspector with experience in Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI), particularly on Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) projects.

Key Responsibilities
The Inspector will be assigned to work in Murfreesboro or Chattanooga, TN.
Performing highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, marking, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests
Coordinating and managing the lower level inspectors.
Performing work under the general supervision of the Project Administrator.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Sets own project deadlines.
Provides on the job training to new employees.
Monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
Tracks quality assurance progress.
Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
High School diploma or equivalent
8+ years of related CEI experience including work on TDOT projects.
Maintain the physical endurance to work in various outdoor environments, including extreme heat and cold.
Candidates must be trustworthy and responsible.
Daily travel and or overnight stays may be required depending on project needs.
Valid TN Driver's license, have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
Successful completion of drug screening and background check

TDOT Concrete Certified Field Technician
TDOT Hot Mix Asphalt Certified Plant Technician
TDT Hot Mix Asphalt Certified Roadway Technician
Nuclear Radiation Safety
Tennessee Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
