Sr Civil Designer– Public Works Team Halff is seeking a Sr Civil Designer to join our Public Works team in The Woodlands, Texas office. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans, working closely with engineers and other design professionals to ensure precision and accuracy. What will you do: •Develop detailed drawings and plans for engineering projects using CADD software. •Review and revise drawings to meet specifications and standards. •Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure designs are accurate and feasible. •Prepare and maintain documentation, including material lists, quantity takeoffs, cut/fill reports, and project records. •Review and implement applicable design and/or industry standards, federal and state requirements, and safety regulations to ensure design compliance. •Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations. •Train staff in Civil 3D software/Design What you will need: •Drafting Certificate, Associate, or Bachelor’s Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field is desired. •Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering, drafting and design. A focus on municipal infrastructure/Public Works projects is a plus. •Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Civil3D. •Strong Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. •Excellent communication and ability to work in a team environment. •Knowledge of Public Infrastructure standards and regulations. •Ability to work independently as a self-motivator and as part of a team.
