We're looking for an experienced, driven Senior Clerical Manager to lead our registration, scheduling, authorization, and file room operations across our main campus and satellite locations. This is a high-impact leadership role at the center of our patient access and revenue cycle functions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the daily functions of Registration/Scheduling Clerks, Authorization Coordinators, and the Chief File Clerk across all locations

• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff; initiate corrective action and performance appraisals

• Ensure adequate staffing coverage, manage schedules, attendance, and payroll

• Monitor registration, scheduling, and authorization reports to ensure accuracy

• Coordinate implementation of new outpatient registration, scheduling, and authorization systems

• Oversee billing practices and maintain procedures for optimal reimbursement

• Guide uninsured patients through the hospital's financial assistance program

• Supervise pre-authorization and post-discharge scheduling worklists

• Serve as a liaison between Radiology and ordering providers inside/outside the center

• Train and in-service both Radiology and ordering provider staff on request workflows and systems

• Maintain operations of the radiology file room/film library to ensure patients, ordering providers and specialists receive copies of requested diagnostic images in a timely manner

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred

• 1–2 years of healthcare leadership experience required

5 years of experience with hospital-based registration and scheduling systems

• Clinical experience and/or medical terminology knowledge strongly preferred

• Familiarity with medical center financial and computer systems

• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Knowledge of medical coding a plus
