Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Cloud Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate with expertise in designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure, platform services, and automation solutions that support enterprise applications and business operations.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr. Cloud Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, deploy, and maintain Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure and cloud-native services to support scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise applications.

• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to automate cloud provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.

• Configure and support cloud services including IAM, Cloud DNS, Load Balancers, Secret Manager, Kubernetes clusters, Cloud SQL, and disaster recovery environments.

• Collaborate with architects, security teams, developers, and product teams to implement cloud solutions that meet performance, availability, and compliance requirements.

• Monitor cloud environments using Dynatrace, Splunk, and other observability tools, troubleshooting issues and optimizing system reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.

• Support DevOps and SRE initiatives by developing CI/CD pipelines, automating operational processes, and assisting with cloud application deployments, maintenance, and modernization efforts.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, or a related technical field.

• 4+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years of software development and cloud engineering experience with Java and Python.

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including infrastructure design, Terraform, Kubernetes, IAM, Cloud SQL, networking, high availability, and disaster recovery architectures.

• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and cloud operations, including Dynatrace, Splunk, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and cloud-native application support.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
