The
Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer II Cloud will serve as a senior technical owner for the organization's cloud infrastructure, identity platform, and Microsoft cloud ecosystem. This role will lead the architecture, implementation, optimization, security, automation, and governance of
Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, and enterprise cloud infrastructure.
The position will work closely with
Information Security, Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications, HRIS, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, highly available, and compliant cloud solutions. The role will also lead cloud modernization initiatives, establish technical standards and governance, and provide Tier III technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, administer, and optimize Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, and related cloud technologies.
- Lead cloud platform governance, including lifecycle management, configuration standards, operational processes, and service adoption.
- Design and maintain Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including:
- Conditional Access
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Develop and support cloud automation using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and workflow automation tools.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure health, performance, capacity, availability, and operational metrics.
- Partner with Cybersecurity teams to implement security controls, compliance requirements, threat protection, identity governance, and audit readiness.
- Lead cloud migration, integration, modernization, and infrastructure transformation initiatives.
- Provide Tier III escalation support for complex cloud, infrastructure, identity, and collaboration platform issues.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, governance standards, operational procedures, and support runbooks.
- Establish cloud infrastructure best practices, technical standards, and operational governance frameworks.
- Mentor engineers, administrators, and support teams on cloud operations, automation, security, and continuous improvement.
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity, resiliency, and risk management initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms in complex or regulated environments.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Enterprise Identity & Access Management
- Proven experience owning cloud infrastructure strategy, governance, and technology roadmaps.
- Strong experience implementing enterprise security controls, compliance requirements, and access governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience leading cloud transformation, modernization, or platform maturity initiatives.
- Strong experience with hybrid cloud and enterprise infrastructure architecture.
- Experience with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical decision-making skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications, HRIS, and business teams.
- Strong communication, documentation, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
