Overview:
Kemin is seeking a Sr. CLS Associate to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is responsible for executing and supporting Customer Laboratory Services (CLS), application research, and new product initiatives. Key responsibilities include developing project protocols to demonstrate product effectiveness in customer operations, partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and Technical Services teams to identify new opportunities, and monitoring test progress while analyzing and summarizing data to validate results.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing advanced problem solving, data analysis and accurately checking large amounts of data.
- Responsible for advanced method development, method validation, and formulation, as applicable.
- Responsible for consistently exercising independent discretion and judgement with guidance from manager.
- May be responsible for coordinating projects and oversight of project teams.
- Must be able to generate, interpret and present accurate data consistently (internally and externally).
- Must be able to independently follow and generate SOPs and test protocols.
- Responsible for technical report writing.
- Operate advanced lab equipment.
- Collaborate on the design of application research projects, as applicable.
- May be responsible for communicating product support and providing technical recommendations to customers (internal and external).
- Responsible for understanding and supporting Kemin products and services, as applicable.
- Responsible for following, ensuring and monitoring good laboratory and safety practices.
- Attend and present at tradeshows, conferences, and participate in customer meetings, as applicable.
- Assist with training of others.
