With our deep knowledge and expertise, we bring the voice of the customer into the design, development, and successful deployment of Visa products and services, acting as trusted partners to Visa's clients and supporting the growth of their businesses.What the Senior Contracts Analyst Does at Visa This position will develop and drive to completion complex commercial agreements such as merchant acceptance agreements, master service agreements, and Signature account agreements.Responsibilities The role will partner with various stakeholders across Visa to develop and manage complex commercial agreements from approved financial proposals, employing industry best practices and collaborating closely with senior leadership in Legal, Finance, Product, and Sales.Key Responsibilities Draft and drive to completion of commercial agreements (various levels of complexity) that achieve business objectives and continue to support those relationships thereafter.Liaise with stakeholders—including Sales, Finance, and Legal—to ensure contracts are developed consistently and approved promptly.Participate in special assignments and provide ad hoc support and reporting as required.Why this is important to Visa The Senior Contracts Analyst serves as a subject‑matter expert in drafting and provides guidance on contract terms to internal stakeholders, fostering deep collaboration across Legal, Finance, Sales, Product, and other departments in order to meet client needs and drive business success.Qualifications We are looking for an individual who brings breadth of experience, curiosity about payments, and a results-driven, client-focused mindset.Basic Qualifications 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Master's, MBA, JD, MD), or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.Preferred Qualifications 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree, or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.2-3+ years of extensive commercial contracts drafting and negotiation experience (preferably at a company of similar size); previous contract drafting experience is required.J.D. from an accredited law school.Relevant and transferable experience at a Fortune 500 or large-scale corporation or law firm.Strong understanding of the payments industry and Visa products and services.Background and knowledge in payment‑services, credit and debit processing, banking and financial institutions law, antitrust and competition law, technology and digital payments, or fintech.Proven ability to work independently and proactively, as well as collaboratively with minimal supervision, engaging directly with senior executive management across functions.Excellent written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal clients at all management levels.Ability to manage well under pressure and tight deadlines.Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.Superior analytical, pragmatic problem‑solving, and writing skills and experience.Skill and savviness to proactively identify, initiate, and drive strategic efficiency process improvements, gaining consensus and influencing behavior cross‑functionally.Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (required).Experience with Salesforce, iCertis, or similar contract‑management software (preferred), and DocuSign or e‑signature tools.Familiarity with generative AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Harvey, or Legora.Salary and Benefits The estimated salary range for this position is $109,800.00 to $175,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
