Summary/Objective
The Communications and Engagement Manager role will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic internal communications plans, events, reward programs and content to inform and engage associates about the company’s mission, values, business, and culture, ensuring that all communications align with ACA’s strategic goals and objectives.

  • Strategic Communication Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans aligned with business priorities, key initiatives, and organizational strategy. Deliverables may include announcements, emails, videos, presentations, talking points, and other company-wide messaging. 
  • Drive Innovative Engagement: Identify and implement new, effective communication methods to connect and engage with associates across the organization. 
  • Corporate Event Management: Take ownership of corporate events from concept to execution—including planning, budgeting, promotions, vendor coordination, on-site logistics, and development of event content and materials. 
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to support business objectives through communications, events, reward programs, and other engagement initiatives. 
  • Feedback-Driven Improvement: Proactively seek feedback and continuously assess the effectiveness of communications and engagement programs to drive meaningful improvements. 
  • Ensure Message Consistency: Craft clear, aligned, and engaging communications that reflect ACA’s Guiding Principles and Mission Statement. 
  • Lead Community & Charitable Initiatives: Manage planning and execution of company-sponsored community outreach and charitable events. 
  • Awards and Recognition Program: Market and facilitate the nomination, review, and recognition/award processes for quarterly and annual awards and recognition programs. 
  • Additional Responsibilities: Take on other projects and initiatives as needed to support the success of the team and organization. 
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in professional communications, preferably in a corporate or fast-paced environment 
  • 3+ years of experience in planning and executing large-scale events across multiple company sites 
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences and align tone with intent 
  • Skilled in collecting and analyzing feedback through surveys, focus groups, and other data-gathering tools 
  • Flexible and proactive self-starter with a collaborative mindset and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities 
  • Strong advocate for organizational purpose, culture, and values, with a passion for associate engagement 
  • Preferred proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and ability to efficiently update template-based graphics and visual assets 
 
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will have no direct reports.
 
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some schedule variations as needed.
 
Travel
This position will require up to 10% travel.
